Paulo Branicio was a speaker at the 2018 Gordon Research Conference – Structural Nanomaterials. The theme of the conference was “Complexity and Heterogeneity in Microstructure and Their Relation with Properties”. The conference, with about 120 participants, including invited speakers and poster presenters, was held at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) on August 12-17, 2018. The HKUST is located at the beautiful Port Shelter harbor. The lecture titled “Atomistic Modeling of the Mechanical Behavior of Nanostructured Metallic Glasses” discussed the current state of art on the topic of mechanical behavior of heterogeneous metallic glasses with focus on nanoglasses.
