Paulo Branicio was an invited speaker and session chair at the 2019 MRS Spring. His invited talk titled “Deformation and failure of CuZr gradient nanoglasses” discussed recent results on gradient nanoglass research developed in the group, which are being lead by Suyue Yuan. The MRS conferences are some of the best venues for scientific and technology exchange in all areas of materials science. The 2019 Spring Meeting hosted in the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona was a large event featuring 60 technical symposia and several thousand oral and poster presentations covering materials science topics in the broad areas of “Characterization, Processing And Theory”, “Electronics And Photonics”, “Energy And Sustainability”, “Quantum And Nanomaterials”, and “Soft Materials and Biomaterials”.
